McKenzee’s passion lies in storytelling. Early on in her life it appeared this passion might manifest itself through performance as she spent many of her developing years on stage acting in over 20 musicals and plays. It was in her late teens however that McKenzee discovered life behind the scenes as crew before truly finding her niche in sound design. McKenzee has since designed sound for 2 professional theatrical productions for Eaton Gorge Theatre Company (EGTC) and a handful more for amateur theatre company The Wollongong Workshop Theatre.
Though McKenzee’s ambition had been to forge a career in film ever since she first discovered the behind the scenes featurettes in her DVD collection. The art of capturing a story through the lens of a camera a much more magical prospect to her. Finishing her HSC with one short film under her belt she then went on to complete a 3 year Bachelor of Media (Screen & Sound) at UNSW.
From then McKenzee began to combine her camera skills with the world of theatre and shot promotional videos for EGTC. Since then McKenzee has filmed and photographed various events, conferences, and overseas travel experiences bringing energy, visual intrigue, and a sense of delight to everything she shoots.
She has never been one to shy away from a new opportunity to create, whether that be a video for a corporate client or a personal short film.
